The Beauty of The Beast
Hidden in Norwegian nature, between mountains and fjords and surrounded by Norwegian pine, there is industry, which most people do not understand the size or importance of. Metal buckets the size of a truck, filled with liquid lava-like metal and refineries where metal pipes are twisted around each other in a several kilometer large labyrinth.
On the outskirts of cities and spread across the Norwegian landscape, there are factories that win in competition with countries such as the USA, China and Russia. The factories are also subject to strict environmental requirements and are a part of the elite in environmentally friendly industry.
Around these factories, the local community is sprouting as a consequence of new jobs and economic growth in the municipality and it is these factories that make us in Norway, have the welfare state we have today. It seems that a lot is going wrong in Norway and in the countries around us. But we are still lucky to have the industry we have, here in our small country.
